Construction contract documents and studies shall be stamped by engineers and/or architects licensed in the State of California in the specific disciplines required to generate the design. All computer software shall be compatible with the VTA Standard Software at the time of the work. Construction contract documents required for design changes and contract change notices shall include plans in AutoCAD (version 2011 compatible with VTA) and pdf format, and specifications in CSI Specifications format using Microsoft Word. The CITY shall provide timely review and complete responses to material submittals, shop drawings and RFIs in standard VTA format, consistent with VTA standards for PROJECT documentation. CITY shall provide the following deliverables to VTA in accordance with PROJECT schedule requirements: Construction support services, including review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to RFIs, and production of Change Notices. Assist and develop pre-final and final punchlists. Attend pre-final and final walk throughs. Assist with coordination with PG&E, SJWC and other utilities for utility connections and agreements Review and help resolve field changes, ensure that the utility company has performed per requirements, signed off on agreements and final disposition for submittals, and retained as-built records. Attend required meetings, incorporate required field/ design changes including preparation of revision documents. Assist with coordination with CH2M Hill, County, SCVWD and other Agencies. Assist with preparation of design change notices (DCNs)/change notices (CNs) for traffic signals including cost estimates and schedules as requested by the VTA Project Manager. Assist with site visits/ field observations to resolve field issues as requested by the VTAs Project Manager. Clarify design intent to the contractor. Review and respond to traffic signal request for information (RFIs) from contractor/subs. Review & respond to traffic signal submittals. Attend up to four (4) contract progress meetings as requested by VTA’s Project Manager.
